We were delighted to be once again exhibiting at the BDIA Dental Showcase at London Excel in March this year. So many people visited our stand K50 which was hard to miss as it was bright and colourful, featuring pink sofas and our 7ft surfboard as well as a huge banner showcasing our prestigious B Corp certification and iconic beach shoot on Godrevy Beach in Cornwall.
We were promoting the uniquely rewarding clinical career opportunities in our employee-owned dental CIC, showcasing the extraordinary environment and work life balance that we enjoy here in Cornwall. A truly authentic showcase using images that were shared with us by our colleagues of the things they enjoy with their friends and family, alongside their work on behalf of our patients, our communities and one another – it was certainly a talking point with all those who visited our stand.

Our prize draw and Steady Hand competition (game of operation) once again proved popular, not least the opportunity to win some delicious Cornish treats including Tarquins Gin, Pentire non-alcoholic gin, a bottle of Camel Valley Vineyard’s finest fizz and handmade Cornish chocolates from Sweet P. One of the competition winners already supports our Out of Hours service at weekends, which was lovely (and reassuring that they do indeed have steady hands)!

Consequently we enjoyed some fantastic conversations over two very busy days (Friday and Saturday) with visitors from right across the UK, many of whom have signed up for our e-newsletter and have left the show seriously considering a progressive dental career opportunity with us. It was especially great for them being able to meet Jonathan our Dental Director and Clinical Director Liz. We also attended some inspiring presentations including from Jill at Dentaid Dental Charity – it really was a brilliant show, and a big thanks to the creative genius of our long-term Fuel Communications who once again pulled out all the stops to meet our deadlines in advance of the show, and to Cornwall-based couriers ThinkDelivered for safely transporting everything we needed there and back”.
Every day our dentists, dental therapists and dental nurses make a real and sustainable difference to local people through their patient care and support for a range of impactful outreach projects that we run in our local communities, working alongside our enthusiastic professional support colleagues.
Everything from delivering our Brighter Smiles oral health programme in primary schools and nurseries and visiting harboursides in our mobile dental unit treating fishermen who rarely visit a dentist due to the demands of their work, to supporting Cornwall Health for Homeless pop-ups and donating oral health packs to local charities best positioned to reach those families and individuals most in need across the county. We really do have an amazing team!
