We are delighted to appoint our new Head of Marketing & Communications, Tracy Wilson.
Tracy has joined us from the University of Plymouth where she has spent the past 16 years in senior marketing positions.
Over that time she has been responsible for teams delivering a significant number of strategic initiatives from building external relations and partnerships to chairing a cross-university marketing group to connect and communicate the university’s world-class research.
Most recently Tracy managed the Heritage Lottery and Big Lottery funded restoration of Drake’s Place gardens and reservoir and its operation as a community space through an engaging ‘Come On In’ campaign. In 2012 she project managed the University’s award-winning 150th anniversary celebrations.
Tracy holds a diploma from the Chartered Institute of Marketing and has achieved their elite Chartered Marketer status. She started her career in Cornwall with a local food company before joining the West Briton’s newspaper sales team. Tracy then spent 10 years at UK law firm Bond Dickinson as marketing manager at a time of significant expansion for the firm before joining the University of Plymouth in 2001.
At Smile Together, Tracy will focus on further developing our growing reputation being an innovative social enterprise providing NHS and private dental care, dental laboratory services and oral health programmes. The profits generated from those activities are reinvested into providing further community dentistry, oral health and outreach programmes and community collaboration. She will also take a lead role in strengthening our internal communications across over 100 employees operating out of 14 centres across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

I’m excited to join an organisation with such a strong mission and community focus.”
